Perhaps you’re just getting started on your instrument and want to lay a solid foundation. Or, maybe you’ve been playing for years and want to improve your technique and expand your repertoire. In either case, I would be glad to help!

I’ve been teaching for over 25 years and have had the pleasure of helping students at all levels pursue and reach their musical goals. Lessons can be a great way to begin your musical journey under the mentorship of an insightful teacher or refine your playing with recommendations from a skilled performer. I can meet you wherever you’re at and develop a personalized learning plan that works best for you.

Lessons are tailored to help you make progress. Here’s what I’ll do to help you improve:

• Dialogue with you about your musical goals and design an approach that supports them

• Listen attentively to your playing, give you constructive feedback, and craft helpful solutions to improve your playing

• Teach you suitable material hand-picked to enhance your proficiency

• Build your aural skills, memory, and music literacy

• Share recordings with you and explain how to get the most out of them

• Provide you with historical background to contextualize the music you are learning

• Help you work holistically toward becoming an independent learner and a mature artist
